Calbost Collection Photographs

From 1965 onwards, Angus applied himself to collecting physical evidence of his forebears’ way of life in the form of the many artefacts that people at the time were throwing out. Due to lack of space, he ultimately loaned his extensive collection to Museum nan Eilean in Stornoway, where it remains to this day. This section of the website features photographs of many of the items in the collection, together with some background information about them. The images can be downloaded in .jpg format.
